We enjoy creating new sounds and
styles for each movie. Natural Forces,
a post apocalyptic story which takes place in the future, inspired our
lead composer Edward B. Kessel, to create a new genre of music using
authentic ancient Mayan instruments, conch shells, African drums, human
harmonics, wooden trumpet, renaissance flutes and live strings combined
with modern synthesized sounds. Joined by composer Marc Hoffman with
some unique percussion instruments of his own, this score truly sounds
like no other and fits the story and mood of the film perfectly.

"Some Fish Can Fly”,
critically
acclaimed by Jeffrey Lyons, NBC-TV, features a more traditional Irish score
using penny whistles, Irish fiddle, accordion, guitar, piano and
strings. We worked with musicians who specialize in the Irish style to
create a genuine sound which captured the sincerity of the characters.
Producer of “Some Fish Can Fly,” Joe Zock said, “Your
music gave our movie a soul!” Director Robert Pappas, said “You
were brilliant!”

With every project, we work closely with the director to carefully
portray his or her vision to the audience. We bring to life feelings of
suspense, romance, terror or any emotion, subtle or extreme, the
director deems appropriate. In the art film, Boulevard of Broken
Dreams, our music guided the audience through the entire story. Alan
Gus of Matlin Recording said “I didn’t know what the film was
about until I mixed your music in with it...then suddenly it all made
sense.”
We work with only the finest musicians. From the New York
Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera orchestra to Broadway to New
York Studio musicians...we use only the best!!
We are mindful of budget. If you want the New York Philharmonic, you’ve
got it! Since most projects have a limited budget, we can produce your
score with a combination of live and sampled/electronic sounds. If
necessary, all sampled and electronic sounds can be used. The Sound
Imagination studio has a full arsenal of samplers and synthesizers for
the finest quality of electronically scored music.
